Ilya Fushman joins Kleiner Perkins as General Partner and Managing Member

Monday, March 5, 2018, San Francisco, CA — Kleiner Perkins announced today the appointment of Ilya Fushman as a general partner and managing member on the leadership team at the firm. Fushman, who most recently was a general partner at Index Ventures, brings deep operating and investing experience to the venture team at Kleiner Perkins. He will invest in enterprise software and infrastructure, financial services, and industries undergoing digital transformation, with a particular focus on product-centric companies developing new go-to-market models.

“We are delighted to welcome Ilya to Kleiner Perkins. As we looked at how to build out the investing team at Kleiner Perkins, Ilya was exactly the type of investor we had in mind. His considerable talent both as a company builder and investor will be highly additive to the firm and a strong complement to the existing team members,” said Mamoon Hamid, General Partner, Kleiner Perkins.

“Kleiner Perkins is a firm I have long revered. To be part of building such an iconic brand as it gears up for the future is an opportunity I could not miss,” said Fushman. “I have deep respect for Mamoon from working together on Slack and Intercom and I am excited to help drive the next chapter of this firm’s history,” said Ilya Fushman.
