Emily Hanks joined Kleiner Perkins in 2021, where she focuses on marketing and community for the firm and its portfolio. Emily creates impactful experiences for founders who are making history and helps the firm’s community programs excel. Prior to Kleiner Perkins, Emily was Head of Community and Marketing at The House Fund where she helped build the firm’s brand and platform and supported a growing community of UC Berkeley entrepreneurs.
Emily has previously operated at several startups during the earliest stages, including Roblox, Popsugar, and ShopStyle. During her Ecommerce years, she helped build and scale a leading influencer platform. From content creators to technologists, Emily has a passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed. When she’s not working, Emily can be found chasing the sun, surf, and dogs.
