Athena Ruland
Experience Marketing
Athena Ruland joined Kleiner Perkins in 2019 where she leads experience marketing, bringing the brand to life for the firm, and supports its portfolio. Athena was instrumental in starting the Grit podcast, and was responsible for its production for the first 230 episodes.
Prior to Kleiner Perkins, Athena was part of the VMG Partners team. She previously worked on the equity sales teams at J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank. Athena began her career at the County of San Mateo as an analyst. Outside of work, Athena enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and volunteering for Muttville, an organization that focuses on rescuing senior dogs in need.
